Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A08 4G in India, with the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant priced at ₹18,499.
The new smartphone features a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display, MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 50MP dual rear cameras and an 8MP front camera. It is powered by a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy A08 runs Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8 interface. Samsung is also promising six major OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the device.
Key specifications
The phone comes with a 6.7-inch HD+ Infinity-U LCD display with a resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels. It is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, featuring two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 2GHz.
The device has 4GB LPDDR5X RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card, while a dedicated slot allows users to use two SIM cards alongside the memory card.
For photography, the Galaxy A08 has a 50MP main rear camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor and LED flash. An 8MP front camera is provided for selfies and video calls.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS and dual 4G VoLTE connectivity. The phone also has an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The Galaxy A08 measures 167.4 × 77.4 × 8.0mm and weighs 197 grams.
Price and colours
The Samsung Galaxy A08 4G is priced at ₹18,499 for the 4GB + 64GB model in India.
It is available in Dark Blue, Silver and Green colour options. Samsung is also offering various EMI plans, including options with zero down payment.
The company is highlighting features such as Circle to Search 3.0, multiple AI agents and connectivity with Samsung’s wider ecosystem.
