Construction of Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Tower has reached a major milestone, with the skyscraper now standing at 430 metres and 106 floors as work continues toward its planned height of more than 1,000 metres.
Kingdom Holding confirmed the progress in its second-quarter 2026 results, reporting that more than 300,000 cubic metres of concrete have been poured at the construction site. Approximately 6,400 workers are currently involved in the project.
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding, recently inspected the construction site and praised the teams working on the tower. He said construction crews remain committed to completing what is planned to become the world’s tallest tower.
At 430 metres, Jeddah Tower has already surpassed half the height of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, which stands at 828 metres and remains the world’s tallest completed skyscraper.
When completed, Jeddah Tower is expected to provide approximately 530,000 square metres of built-up space, including residential units, hotels, offices and observation facilities.
The tower is designed to feature 59 elevators, including 54 single-deck and five double-deck elevators, as well as 12 escalators.
Its observation elevators are expected to operate at speeds of up to 10 metres per second, allowing passengers to travel efficiently through the massive structure.
The project is expected to further strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position in the global race to develop supertall skyscrapers.
