Five Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision in Kudat, Sabah, Malaysia

At least five people were injured following a road accident involving five vehicles along Jalan Kampung Kandawayon in Kudat, Sabah, Malaysia, on Sunday night.

According to local emergency officials, the crash involved a Perodua Axia, a Proton sedan, a Toyota Revo pickup truck, and two Perodua Myvi cars. The incident occurred late on Sunday and prompted a response from local fire and rescue authorities.

Kudat Fire and Rescue Station chief Darikson Galanang confirmed that multiple occupants were injured in the collision. Three of the victims were travelling in the Perodua Axia, including two men aged 24 and 33, and a 49-year-old woman, all of whom sustained injuries.

Two additional victims, aged 24 and 26, were in one of the Myvi vehicles and were also hurt. The remaining drivers of the Toyota Revo, Proton, and the second Myvi reportedly escaped without injuries.

All five injured individuals were transported to hospital for medical treatment. Emergency operations at the scene concluded early Monday morning.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
