Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has dismissed reports linking him to a possible vice-presidential arrangement with former President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The speculation had suggested that a faction within the Peoples Democratic Party was considering Jonathan as its presidential candidate, with Mohammed allegedly tipped as a running mate. The claims spread on social media following reports of an internal party convention in Abuja.
However, Mohammed has publicly rejected the rumours, stating that he has no involvement in any such arrangement and urging the public to disregard what he described as speculation.
He reaffirmed that his current political focus is to contest for the Bauchi South Senatorial seat under the Allied Peoples Movement, stressing that his ambition remains unchanged despite circulating political narratives.
