Woman Arrested After Four Men Stabbed in Central London Attack

A 47-year-old woman has been arrested after four men were stabbed in an incident in Covent Garden, central London, police have confirmed.

The victims, aged 34, 39, 42, and 52, were found suffering from stab wounds following the lunchtime attack on Endell Street. They were taken to a major trauma centre, with two later discharged and the other two treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The Metropolitan Police said the woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, believed to be a pair of scissors, and assault.

Police commander Jason Stewart said officers responded within minutes and described the incident as an isolated case believed to be linked to mental health issues. He added that a strong police presence would remain in the area while investigations continued.

Emergency services, including ambulance crews and London’s air ambulance, attended the scene and treated the four injured men before taking them to hospital.

Witnesses said the attack happened near the Shaftesbury Theatre before the woman allegedly moved along Endell Street. One victim reportedly ran into a nearby barber shop with a serious cut on his back.

Local workers described the incident as sudden and random, saying police quickly arrived and arrested the suspect.

The area was later brought under control, with police removing the cordon after evidence was collected.
