Mother and Two Children Killed in Kaduna Building Collapse

A woman and her two children have died after a building collapsed in the Dan Mani community of Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

An eyewitness said one of the victims was a five-year-old boy. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, leaving residents of the community in mourning.

The spokesperson for the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA), Dominic Philip, confirmed the deaths, saying the agency had deployed a search and rescue team to the scene.

According to Philip, the agency received a report of the building collapse and immediately sent its team, led by the Zone 2 coordinator responsible for Kaduna and its environs, to assess the situation.

He confirmed that the woman and her two children unfortunately died in the collapsed building.

Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the collapse and assess the safety of other buildings in the area.
