At least eight people have been killed after an Israeli drone strike hit a police station in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to Gaza's Interior Ministry and local emergency officials.
The attack occurred in the al-Faluja area of western Jabalia on Tuesday. Gaza authorities said six police officers, including the station commander, were among those killed. A female police officer and at least one civilian also died in the strike.
The Interior Ministry condemned the attack, describing it as a "massacre" against police personnel who were carrying out security and public order duties in a busy marketplace within the displacement camp.
Separately, Palestinian officials reported that Israeli airstrikes and gunfire in southern Gaza killed at least three more people, including a 10-year-old child in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis. Several others, including a woman and a child, were also injured.
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, the death toll from the conflict since October 2023 has risen to more than 73,200, with over 173,700 people injured. The ministry said more than 1,100 people have been killed since the ceasefire agreed in October.
The Israeli military had not immediately commented on the reported strike at the time of publication.
