The Nigerian House of Representatives has adopted a report supporting the establishment of state police and approved 18 constitutional amendment clauses aimed at strengthening governance, security, and institutional effectiveness across the country.
The decision was taken during Thursday’s plenary session presided over by Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas.
The approved provisions form part of broader constitutional reform efforts designed to address key national challenges, particularly in the areas of security and public administration.
