Eight Killed in Fresh Israeli Strikes on Southern Lebanon Amid Ceasefire Violations

At least eight civilians have been killed and 15 others injured following a new wave of Israeli airstrikes targeting several towns in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

The attacks, carried out on Sunday, struck multiple residential areas in what Lebanese authorities described as another violation of the fragile ceasefire brokered earlier this year.

Among the hardest-hit locations was the town of Tayr Falsay, where three people lost their lives while eight others, including children, sustained injuries. Separate strikes on Tyre Debba killed two civilians, one of them a child, while another attack on Jouaiya claimed three more lives.

Lebanese officials say thousands of people have been killed or wounded since the escalation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah intensified earlier this year. The Israeli military continues to maintain positions in parts of southern Lebanon near the border area.

The latest strikes have raised renewed concerns over the stability of the ceasefire agreement and the growing humanitarian toll in southern Lebanon.
