Türkiye, Egypt, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Condemn Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia

Türkiye, Egypt, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have jointly condemned attacks by Yemen's Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, including a deadly strike on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

In a joint statement issued on Sunday under the banner of the “R4 Group,” the four countries said the attacks had caused civilian deaths and injuries, as well as damage to civilian infrastructure and facilities.

The countries described the attacks as a violation of international law and a breach of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning that they posed a direct threat to the kingdom's security, stability and civilian population.

The group further described the attacks as a dangerous escalation that could not be justified under any circumstances.

Türkiye, Egypt, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their solidarity with Riyadh and expressed support for all legitimate measures the kingdom takes to counter the attacks, deter further threats and prevent their recurrence, in accordance with the United Nations Charter and international law.

The statement also warned that the Houthi militia would be held fully accountable for the consequences of its actions, including any repercussions that threaten regional and international peace and security.

The four countries called for an immediate and unconditional end to the attacks.

The joint condemnation comes amid rising regional tensions following attacks on Saudi Arabia, including the deadly incident at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
