President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a patriot, trusted ally and dedicated public servant.
In a statement issued ahead of Shettima’s birthday, Tinubu praised the Vice President for his years of service to Borno State and Nigeria, including his time as governor of Borno State and later as Vice President.
The President highlighted Shettima’s courage, diligence, compassion and commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians. He also commended his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Tinubu particularly praised Shettima’s leadership of the National Economic Council, noting his role in coordinating economic policies and strengthening cooperation between the Federal Government and state governments.
The President said Shettima’s loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty had been valuable to the administration and thanked him for his continued support and partnership.
Tinubu prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to guide, protect and strengthen the Vice President, while granting him wisdom, good health and many more years of purposeful service to Nigeria.
First Lady Oluremi Tinubu also congratulated Shettima on his 60th birthday. She described him as a Vice President who has demonstrated strength, loyalty, commitment and love for Nigeria.
She further commended his achievements as a former governor of Borno State, senator and banker, and prayed for continued good health, peace, joy and happiness in his life.
