At Least Four Injured in Army Ammunition Depot Explosion in Syria

At least four people were injured on Monday after an explosion occurred at an army ammunition depot near Al-Eiss in northern Syria, according to local authorities.

Nearby residents were evacuated from the area as emergency response teams arrived at the scene.

Syria’s Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed al-Saleh, warned members of the public to stay away from the site, citing the risk of shrapnel, unexploded ordnance and other hazardous materials.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the explosion, while emergency teams continue to secure the area and assess the situation.
