US Releases Fresh Names, Photos of 10 Nigerians Facing Deportation

The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released the names and photographs of 10 Nigerians listed on its “Worst of the Worst” register, which identifies immigrants arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over alleged criminal offences.

The latest list includes Nigerians linked to allegations involving wire fraud, identity theft, drug offences, assault, conspiracy, and offences involving children.

The 10 Nigerians named are:

1. Temitope Bashua — Wire fraud, identity theft and fraud

2. Ojehoro Lewis — Cruelty towards a child

3. Osemudiamen Kingsley Oziegbe — Wire fraud

4. Daniel Oworen — Dangerous drugs

5. Raymond H. Ekevwo — Wire fraud

6. Franklin Dikeocha — Sex offence against a child.

7. Johnson Ogunlana — Fraud and identity theft

8. Chukwuemeka Okorocha — Wire fraud, dangerous drugs, weapons possession and aggravated assault

9. Tunde Korede — Conspiracy

10. Chukwuemeka Chinye — Bank-related larceny, fraud, identity theft and conspiracy

DHS said the register was created to highlight immigrants it considers among the “worst of the worst” criminal offenders arrested by ICE.

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said the latest immigration enforcement operations are part of President Donald Trump’s deportation policy, which targets undocumented immigrants accused of serious crimes.

The new publication follows a July release containing the names of 124 Nigerians who were also placed on the same register.

DHS did not provide specific deportation dates for the Nigerians named in either list.
