Trump Threatens to Bomb Oman if It Interferes With Iran Deal

US President Donald Trump has threatened to bomb Oman if the country obstructs Washington’s efforts to reach an agreement with Iran over the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump made the warning while speaking to Fox News journalist Trey Yingst, saying the United States would respond militarily if Oman interfered with its negotiations with Tehran.

The comments come as Oman and Iran continue discussions over future maritime navigation arrangements in the strategically important waterway. Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the two countries were working on a joint declaration.

Iran Rejects 60-Day Negotiation Deadline

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei dismissed a 60-day deadline contained in a June memorandum of understanding, saying it had become irrelevant after the United States allegedly violated the agreement.

Houthis Claim Attack on Saudi Vessel

Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthi rebels said they targeted a Saudi military landing ship and four accompanying patrol boats in the Red Sea near Mokha.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the attack involved several ballistic missiles and was part of the group’s maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia.

UN Warns of Escalation in Yemen

UN human rights chief Volker Turk has warned that the growing violence in Yemen could push the country back into full-scale conflict.

He called on all sides to immediately reduce tensions and avoid further suffering for civilians, noting that Yemen has already endured years of war, displacement and humanitarian crisis.

Iranian Drones Target Kurdistan

Authorities in Iraq’s Kurdistan region also reported that two Iranian drones targeted the office of Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and the home of the region’s intelligence chief.

No casualties were reported.

Barzani described the strikes as a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kurdistan region.

Iran Says Missing Pilots Are Prisoners

Iran has also said it will consider three missing Iranian pilots to be prisoners in Qatar until their fate is clarified.

Tehran claims the pilots disappeared while carrying out an operation against the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Qatar has denied holding them and said it had provided Iran with information about search-and-rescue efforts.

The developments come amid heightened tensions across the Middle East and growing concerns that the wider conflict could escalate further.
