Sowore Gives Tinubu Administration ‘F9’ Rating, Says Government Has Failed Nigerians.

African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate for the 2027 election, Omoyele Sowore, has given President Bola Tinubu’s administration an overall “F9” rating, describing its performance over the past three years as a failure across key sectors.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television's The Morning Brief on Tuesday, Sowore said the administration had fallen short in areas including security, electricity, education, healthcare, food security, and the economy.

According to him, insecurity remains widespread, the national power grid has suffered repeated collapses, and students are increasingly relying on loans to fund their education. He also criticized the country's healthcare system, noting that top government officials, including the president, often seek medical treatment abroad.

Sowore further argued that rising hunger and poverty reflect poor economic management, claiming that the number of Nigerians living in poverty has increased significantly in the last three years.

"I cannot point to any area where this government deserves praise," he said, adding that if President Tinubu were his student, he would advise him to "go back to school" rather than continue leading the country.

When asked whether his remarks were similar to those of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, who has previously suggested Tinubu should step aside, Sowore rejected the comparison, insisting that his recommendation was for the president to return to learning instead of retiring.

President Bola Tinubu is expected to seek re-election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election, while Sowore will contest on the platform of the African Action Congress (AAC).
