Samsung Rolls Out New Google Play System Updates for Galaxy Phones and Tablets

Samsung has started rolling out new Google Play System updates for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, with update sizes varying between 167KB and 18MB, depending on the device.

Although Google has not released an official changelog, the updates are expected to include bug fixes, performance improvements, security enhancements, and optimizations for Google services and apps.

Interestingly, after installing the update, the Google Play System security date remains July 1, 2026, indicating that the release focuses on behind-the-scenes improvements rather than a new security patch.

The update is reportedly being released to users worldwide in phases.

To install the latest Google Play System update on your Samsung device:

Settings → Security and privacy → Updates → Google Play system update

Users are advised to check periodically if the update is not yet available on their devices, as the rollout may take several days to reach all eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
