The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has explained three major reasons why some candidates may not find their names on the matriculation list.
In an explainer video shared on its official X account on Friday, JAMB said the first reason was the most common, while the third was the most important.
According to the board, candidates may be missing from the list because they have not accepted their admission on JAMB CAPS or their admission status still shows “Not Admitted.”
JAMB advised candidates whose status shows “Not Admitted” to return to their institutions and ensure their admission is properly processed.
The board also explained that some candidates may be absent from the matriculation list because their institutions have not yet forwarded their verified matriculation details to JAMB.
JAMB urged affected candidates to contact their institutions and ensure their admission details are processed through CAPS.
The third reason identified by the board is failure to print the JAMB original result slip and admission letter.
Candidates affected by this issue were advised to visit the nearest JAMB office or an approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre to print the required documents.
JAMB further encouraged candidates to follow its official social media platforms for additional updates and guidance.
