At least four Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli air strikes across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, while a major attack on medical supply warehouses near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah caused extensive damage, according to Gaza health officials.
The strikes occurred just days after Hamas and other Palestinian factions signed a disarmament agreement that the United States described as a significant step toward ending the conflict.
Health authorities said two of the hospital's four medicine storage facilities were completely destroyed, while the remaining two suffered severe damage. Officials condemned the attack, warning that the destruction of medical supplies would further strain Gaza's already fragile healthcare system.
According to local health officials, two people were killed in a drone strike in Gaza City's Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood. Another person died in a strike in Deir el-Balah, while a fourth victim was killed when a tent sheltering displaced civilians near a school in al-Mawasi, north of Khan Younis, was hit.
Hospital officials said the destroyed warehouses contained intravenous fluids, medicines, dialysis equipment and intensive care supplies. Nearby shelters for displaced families were also damaged, with some tents reportedly catching fire.
The Israeli military said it targeted Hamas weapons storage sites in Gaza, including one located near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, claiming the operation was aimed at militant infrastructure.
Gaza's Health Ministry reported that seven people were killed and 76 injured across the territory over the past 48 hours. The ministry added that more than 1,200 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire announced in October 2025, while the overall death toll since the war began in October 2023 has exceeded 73,000.
Meanwhile, Gaza's Civil Defence announced that rescue teams had recovered 112 bodies from the rubble of a residential building in Gaza City's Sabra neighbourhood that was destroyed about two weeks ago. Officials said many more people are still believed to be trapped beneath the debris.
The latest developments come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to secure a lasting agreement that would end the conflict and facilitate Israel's withdrawal from Gaza.
