Israeli air strikes hit a tent camp sheltering displaced Palestinians near Al-Aqsa Hospital in central Gaza, wounding several people, according to Al Jazeera correspondents. Two additional strikes were reported near the hospital in Deir el-Balah, one of the few medical facilities still operating in the area.
Meanwhile, Israel has decided to bar two Swedish members of the European Parliament, Jonas Sjöstedt and Hanna Gedin, from entering the country, accusing them of anti-Israel activities and supporting international legal proceedings against Israelis.
The International Committee of the Red Cross also facilitated the transfer of six Palestinian detainees from Israeli custody to Gaza. The detainees were taken to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis before being reunited with their families.
The wider regional conflict continues to intensify. Yemen's government forces have called for the recapture of Sanaa and Hodeidah from the Iran-backed Houthis, arguing that doing so is essential to securing the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
Iran, meanwhile, has reaffirmed its support for Lebanon and Hezbollah amid continuing Israeli attacks in Lebanon. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi praised what he described as Lebanon's resistance against Israeli aggression.
Israeli forces also carried out strikes in southern Lebanon and damaged Palestinian-owned vehicles in the occupied West Bank.
In another significant development, Syrian and Israeli delegations reportedly held talks in Jordan under US mediation. The discussions focused on reducing Israeli attacks and arrests in Syria, restoring security arrangements and potentially reviving the 1974 Israel-Syria disengagement agreement.
The developments come as Washington increases economic pressure on Tehran. US President Donald Trump has threatened a major economic campaign against Iran, while Tehran has warned countries that join the US effort that they could be treated as enemies.
