Israel Allegedly Provides Secret Intelligence, Military Support to Sudan’s RSF — Report

The Israeli government has reportedly been providing covert intelligence and military assistance to Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF), according to a report by Africa Intelligence.

The report claims that senior RSF officials have maintained secret, high-level military contacts with Israeli officials since before the outbreak of Sudan’s civil war in 2023.

RSF commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, widely known as Hemedti, allegedly made secret visits to Tel Aviv in May 2025 and February 2026, where he reportedly met officials from Israel’s Foreign Ministry and officers linked to the country’s intelligence agencies.

Hemedti was reportedly accompanied by his brothers, Abdul Rahim and Algoney. Abdul Rahim serves as the RSF’s second-in-command.

The alleged relationship between the RSF and Israeli-linked figures reportedly dates back to 2022. Previous investigations by Haaretz and Dutch investigative outlet Lighthouse claimed that sophisticated European-made phone-surveillance and hacking equipment was delivered to the RSF. The equipment was reportedly transported on a jet linked to former Israeli intelligence officer Tal Dilian, founder of the Cyprus-based Intellexa network.

The RSF has been fighting Sudan’s regular army, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, since April 2023 in a conflict that has caused a major humanitarian crisis and displaced millions of people.

The report also alleges that the United Arab Emirates remains the RSF’s principal external backer, providing weapons, drones, armoured vehicles, ammunition, logistics and other forms of support. These allegations have been disputed by the UAE.

International organisations and rights groups have documented serious atrocities committed during the Sudan conflict, particularly in Darfur, with allegations including war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Rights organisations have also called for investigations into alleged foreign involvement in supporting the RSF and its operations in Sudan.
