President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, where about 30 residents, including women and children, were killed.
The assault, which took place in the early hours of Monday, also left several homes destroyed by fire, while an unspecified number of residents were reportedly abducted.
In response, President Tinubu directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and intelligence agencies to intensify operations in the affected communities. He ordered security operatives to track down those responsible, rescue abducted victims, and restore peace to the area.
According to a statement issued by the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the attack was described as a senseless act of terror against innocent civilians.
Tinubu assured Nigerians that those behind the violence would face justice and reaffirmed his administration's commitment to strengthening security across the country. He also expressed condolences to the bereaved families, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government, and the people of Kaduna over the tragic incident.
The President further called on residents to support security agencies by providing timely and credible information that could help prevent future attacks and improve emergency response efforts.
