Israeli Strikes Kill 14 Palestinians Across Gaza, Including Funeral Mourners

Israeli military attacks across the Gaza Strip on Friday reportedly killed at least 14 Palestinians, including eight people attending a funeral procession in the Nuseirat refugee camp, according to Gaza health officials and civil defence authorities.

Officials said an Israeli drone struck mourners gathered outside the Ahmad Yassin Mosque as they prepared to bury a Palestinian who had been killed earlier the same day. The attack also injured at least 20 people, many of them civilians.

Additional strikes were reported in Beit Lahia, Az-Zawayda, Gaza City, Khan Younis and areas west of Nuseirat, where several more people, including women, were killed or wounded.

The Israeli military confirmed carrying out the strike in central Gaza, stating that it targeted what it described as a "terrorist cell." It added that reports of civilian casualties were being reviewed.

Hamas condemned the attack, accusing Israel of repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement and targeting civilians.

Despite a ceasefire that came into effect last October, violence has continued across Gaza. Conflict monitoring group ACLED recently reported an increase in Israeli strikes in recent months, while humanitarian concerns remain high as civilians continue to bear the brunt of the fighting.
