CJP Threatens Nationwide Protests If Education Minister Is Not Removed Within a Week

A protest movement in India led by the so-called Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has issued a seven-day ultimatum to the government, demanding the removal of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The group warned that if its demands are not met within a week, nationwide demonstrations will be launched. The announcement follows a large protest held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, where supporters gathered to press allegations of irregularities in the education system.

CJP leaders said they would continue their campaign until the minister either resigns or is dismissed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the group, reforms in the education sector cannot begin while the current minister remains in office.

The movement gained attention after controversy linked to remarks attributed to a senior judicial figure during a court proceeding, which reportedly sparked anger among sections of young protesters. Since then, the group has expanded its presence both online and through street demonstrations.

Meanwhile, government officials have not issued a direct response to the ultimatum, but earlier statements have defended existing education policies and administration.

In parallel developments in New Delhi, Indian officials are also hosting Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono for a joint commission meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The situation continues to develop, with further protests and official responses expected in the coming days.
