Acer Launches Upgraded Swift Go 16 Worldwide With New Intel Panther Lake Chip

Acer has expanded global availability of its latest Swift Go 16 laptop, introducing more powerful Intel Panther Lake processor options and upgraded memory configurations for users seeking enhanced performance in a lightweight design.

First unveiled earlier this year, the Swift Go 16 features a slim 16-inch chassis weighing just 1.36 kilograms while incorporating a full-size keyboard with a numeric keypad and a 70Wh battery. The laptop is aimed at professionals and students who require portability without sacrificing screen size.

The device was initially offered with Intel's Core Ultra 5 322 and Core Ultra 7 355 processors. Acer has now added the more powerful Core Ultra 9 386H variant to selected international markets, providing a substantial boost in computing performance.

Entry-level configurations start with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, a 512GB solid-state drive, and a 16-inch OLED display with a 1200p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. Higher-tier models feature increased memory and storage capacities alongside the upgraded processor.

According to performance estimates, the Core Ultra 9 386H delivers a significant increase in processing power over lower-tier Panther Lake chips, thanks to its enhanced core architecture and additional efficiency cores. The upgraded model is designed to handle demanding productivity tasks, content creation workloads, and multitasking more effectively.

Despite the hardware improvements, Acer has retained the same OLED display specification across the lineup, focusing the upgrade on internal performance rather than screen technology.

The refreshed Swift Go 16 is now available through Acer's regional online stores in Europe and other global markets, expanding the company's portfolio of lightweight AI-ready laptops powered by Intel's latest generation processors.
