Mahmud Buba Withdraws From Contest, Urges Support For APC Candidate

Mahmud Sadis Buba, popularly known as Al-ajabin Zazzau, has withdrawn from the contest to represent Sabon Gari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

In a withdrawal letter addressed to the Kaduna State chairman of the All Progressives Congress, the aspirant said the decision followed reconciliation efforts by party leaders and stakeholders.

Buba described the move as difficult but necessary, saying consultations with his family, political allies, and party stakeholders convinced him that stepping aside would serve the best interest of the APC ahead of the general election.

According to him, party unity and support for a consensus candidate are essential for electoral victory and continued development in the constituency and Kaduna State.

The former aspirant also thanked Uba Sani and the APC leadership for giving him the opportunity to participate in the party’s nomination process.

He maintained that his withdrawal should not be seen as a sign of weakness, but rather a sacrifice aimed at strengthening the party’s chances at the polls.

Buba further urged his supporters to remain calm and united, while fully backing whichever candidate emerges as the APC flag bearer for the constituency.

The politician had earlier faced public scrutiny over his age after critics circulated details from a passport page claiming he was 16 years old.
