JAMB Explains Why 2026 UTME Result Slips Have Not Been Released Yet

JAMB Explains Why 2026 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the printing of original result slips for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has not yet begun.

According to a statement by JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, candidates are being asked to remain patient as the process is still being prepared.

JAMB explained that the delay is due to the completion of foreign examinations and preparations for a mop-up UTME for candidates who missed the main exam through no fault of their own.

The board also stated that the UTME is a ranking-based examination, meaning the original result slip includes candidates’ rankings. As a result, all related processes must be finalized before the slips can be released.

It assured candidates that the printing portal will be activated once all necessary adjustments are completed, and that updates will be communicated when ready.

Many candidates have expressed concern online, saying they need the results for post-UTME screening, admission decisions, and course or institution changes.
