EFCC Parades Ex-Power Minister Saleh Mamman After Arrest Over Alleged N33.8bn Fraud

Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has released mugshots of former Power Minister Saleh Mamman following his arrest in Kaduna State.

Mamman was apprehended by EFCC operatives after weeks of surveillance, according to the commission’s chairman, Ola Olukoyede, who confirmed the arrest during a press briefing in Abuja.

The former minister was recently sentenced in absentia to 75 years imprisonment by a Federal High Court over 12 counts related to alleged money laundering and fraud involving ₦33.8 billion linked to the Mambilla and Zungeru hydropower projects.

EFCC officials said Mamman remains in custody pending further legal proceedings, while investigations continue into properties and individuals connected to the case.
