Here are selected lyrics (English translation) from the famous Qasida Burda Sharif by Imam al-Busiri.
The full poem is very long (160+ verses), so this includes some of the most well-known opening and key lines:
1. Opening Verses.
"Is it from remembering neighbors at Dhi Salam
That you mix tears with blood that flow from your eyes?"
"Or is it because of the wind that blows from Kazimah,
Or the lightning that flashes in the darkness of the night?"
2. On Love for the Prophet ﷺ.
"Indeed, my love for the Prophet has left me sleepless,
And my tears flow endlessly from longing."
"Do not deny the love that has overcome your heart,
For love is proven by tears and illness."
3. Praise of the Prophet ﷺ.
"Muhammad is the master of both worlds and both creations,
Of Arabs and non-Arabs alike."
"He is the beloved whose intercession is hoped for,
For every terrifying event that may come."
4. On the Noble Character of the Prophet ﷺ.
"He surpasses all the Prophets in creation and character,
And none can come close to his knowledge or generosity."
"Leave what the Christians claimed about their prophet,
And praise him as you wish in the best way."
5. Seeking Intercession.
"O most noble of creation, I have no one to seek refuge in
Except you when widespread calamity strikes."
"If you do not take me by the hand on the Day of Judgment,
Then out of generosity, say: 'O Allah, forgive him.'"
6. Repentance and Hope.
"My sins are like mountains, yet when I compare them
To your generosity, they seem small."
"I place my hope in Allah through you,
For He is the Most Merciful and Most Generous."
These verses capture the essence of Qasida Burda Sharif—love, praise, repentance, and hope for the intercession of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
