Dua for success in business from Quran

Dua for success in business from Quran

This dua asks Allah to bless your efforts and make them fruitful. In business, it is not just about earning profit, but also about barakah – meaning even small earnings bring contentment and sustainability. Reciting this regularly ensures that you rely on Allah for the outcome while doing your best.

Success in business is not only about effort and money—it requires wisdom, strategy, and ethical decision-making. Prophet Sulayman’s prayer teaches us to seek divine guidance for judgment, negotiations, and long-term planning. Combining this with the first dua ensures both blessing and smart management.

Here’s a clear and powerful guidance from the Quran and Sunnah for seeking success in business.
While the Quran doesn’t have a specific “business dua,” there are verses and supplications that help in seeking blessings, sustenance, and barakah (increase in goodness) in wealth and trade.

1. Dua from Surah Al-Mumtahanah (60:12) for success and blessing in efforts.

Allah says in the Quran:

> “And Allah is the Bestower of success in all affairs.”

While this is general, you can recite:

Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ اجعل عملي مباركاً وارزقني النجاح والبركة فيه

Transliteration:
Allahumma aj‘al ‘amali mubaarakan warzuqni an-najah wal-barakah fihi

Meaning:
"O Allah, make my work blessed and grant me success and blessings in it."

2. Dua for Rizq (Sustenance) from Surah Al-Baqarah (2:261)

This verse highlights that spending for Allah’s sake multiplies wealth:

> “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven ears, and in every ear there are a hundred grains. Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills.”

You can make this dua:

Arabic:
رَبِّ اجعل رزقي واسعاً وبارك لي فيه

Transliteration:
Rabbi aj‘al rizqi waasi‘an wa baarik li fihi

Meaning:
"O Lord, make my sustenance abundant and bless it for me."

3. Dua from Prophet Sulayman (Solomon) for business wisdom

Prophet Sulayman (AS) prayed for wisdom and mastery in all his affairs (including trade):

Arabic:
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ

Transliteration:
Rabbi hab li hikman wa alhiqni bis-saliheen

Meaning:
"My Lord, grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous."

Wisdom in business is key to success, so combining this with the previous duas is very powerful.

Practical Tips
1. Start work with Bismillah – “Bismillah” before every transaction.

2. Give charity regularly – it brings barakah to your wealth.

3. Be honest in trade – Quran (Surah Al-Mutaffifin 83:1-3) promises Allah’s blessings for honesty.

4. Recite Surah Al-Waqi’ah for sustenance – it’s recommended by scholars for financial ease.
