The First Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, popularly known as Inna Wuro Zurmi, has expressed sadness over the death of the Emir of Zurmi, Sarkin Zamfaran Zurmi, Alhaji Bello Sulaiman.
In a condolence message issued in Gusau by her Press Secretary, Rabi Yusuf, the First Lady described the monarch’s death as a great loss to Zamfara State and the traditional institution.
She extended her condolences to the Zurmi Emirate Council, the deceased’s family and residents of the emirate.
Lawal described the late emir as a respected traditional leader who provided wise counsel and demonstrated strong commitment to peace and community development.
She said his leadership, guidance and efforts to promote peace would be greatly missed by the people of Zurmi and Zamfara State.
The First Lady joined the state government and people of Zamfara in mourning the traditional ruler. She prayed that Almighty Allah would comfort his family and give them the strength to cope with the loss.
She also prayed for Allah to forgive the late emir’s shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
