The body of former Czechoslovak Foreign Minister Jan Masaryk has been exhumed as authorities seek to resolve lingering questions surrounding his death.
Masaryk, a prominent Czech diplomat and politician, died in Prague in March 1948 after falling from a window of the Foreign Ministry building.
His death was officially ruled a suicide, but doubts and speculation about the circumstances have persisted for decades. Some theories have suggested that he may have been murdered during the political turmoil surrounding the communist takeover of Czechoslovakia.
The exhumation is intended to provide investigators with additional evidence that could help clarify how Masaryk died and determine whether the original conclusion was accurate.
The case remains one of the enduring mysteries in modern Czech history.
