The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the results of the 2026 Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates are now available.
Candidates can check their results online, through the WAEC mobile app, or via SMS using their examination number and a valid WAEC Result Checker e-PIN.
To access the results online, candidates should visit the official WAEC result portal, enter their 10-digit examination number, select the 2026 examination year, choose the appropriate examination type, provide their e-PIN and serial number, and submit their details to view their results.
Candidates may also use the WAEC Result Checker mobile app by entering the required examination details. Those without internet access can check their results by sending an SMS in the prescribed format to 32327 using supported mobile networks.
WAEC stated that the Result Checker e-PIN costs ₦5,000 and is required to access the result portal. Previously purchased scratch cards remain valid for up to five result checks for a single candidate.
The examination body also reminded candidates that WAEC grades range from A1 (Excellent) to F9 (Fail). For admission into most Nigerian universities, candidates are generally required to obtain at least five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
Candidates whose results are withheld due to suspected examination malpractice are advised to contact their school's examination officer or visit the nearest WAEC state office for clarification. Those who believe there are errors in their results can submit complaints through WAEC's official verification and review channels.
