The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has directed all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj to submit their valid international passports no later than August 7, 2026, to enable the timely processing of travel documents.
The directive was announced by the Director-General of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, in a statement issued on Tuesday through the board's Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Dederi.
According to the statement, passport collection began on August 3 as part of preparations for the 2027 Hajj exercise. The board said early submission is essential to complete documentation and other administrative requirements within the deadlines set by the relevant authorities.
Ibrahim-Matawalle urged all registered pilgrims to comply with the deadline to avoid delays in processing their Hajj travel documents.
He also reaffirmed the board's commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj operation, appealing to intending pilgrims to cooperate fully throughout the preparation process.
