The United States government says it has deported more than three million foreigners since President Donald Trump returned to office, while claiming that no illegal migrants have been released into the country for 15 consecutive months.
According to a fact sheet published by the White House on Wednesday, the Trump administration said it had taken several measures to overhaul the US immigration system and strengthen border security.
The administration said Trump declared a crisis at the southern border during his first week back in office and ordered measures aimed at stopping what it described as record levels of illegal immigration under the previous administration.
“For 15 straight months, no illegal aliens have been released into the country,” the White House stated.
It added that more than three million illegal immigrants had been deported, including thousands of people convicted of violent crimes.
The White House also said the administration had launched a “denaturalisation surge” against individuals accused of fraudulently obtaining US citizenship. It said cases had been filed against 88 people who allegedly obtained citizenship despite being ineligible.
The administration further claimed that taxpayer-funded benefits had been terminated for more than 1.4 million undocumented migrants who were allegedly receiving public assistance improperly.
On visa policies, the White House said the administration had strengthened screening procedures and paused visa processing for 75 high-risk countries, citing concerns over national security and visa overstays.
It also said efforts were underway in several states to remove tens of thousands of undocumented migrants from voter registration rolls, arguing that voting in US elections is reserved for American citizens.
The administration said it had also reformed the US citizenship test to place greater emphasis on American history, government and national values.
The White House further pointed to two executive orders signed on August 6, 2026, concerning birth tourism and the eligibility of certain children for birthright citizenship following a Supreme Court ruling.
