Three Killed, Seven Injured in Shooting at Idaho Fast-Food Restaurant

Three people were killed and seven others injured after a shooting at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday afternoon, according to local authorities.

Police said officers responding to the incident found the suspected gunman dead near the restaurant. Officials have not yet confirmed whether the suspect is included in the reported death toll.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said investigators are still working to identify the shooter and determine the motive behind the attack. Authorities, however, said they believe there is no longer any threat to the public.

Several of the injured victims remain in critical condition. Officials have withheld the identities of those killed and injured while families are being notified.

The shooting occurred at around 2:00 p.m. local time at the newly opened In-N-Out Burger, which began operations on July 24. The restaurant is located in a busy shopping plaza that was crowded with customers at the time of the attack.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic as gunfire erupted, with customers and employees running for safety. One witness said a man armed with a handgun exchanged fire with the suspect, while restaurant staff helped evacuate wounded victims until emergency responders arrived.

Multiple victims were transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center for treatment. The hospital said it is working closely with law enforcement and emergency personnel.

Police continue to interview witnesses and examine evidence as the investigation into one of Idaho's deadliest recent shootings remains ongoing.
