Samsung has launched the Galaxy A27 5G, a new mid-range smartphone that combines a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, 5G connectivity, a 50MP camera with OIS and long-term software support.
The Galaxy A27 was announced in June 2026 and released on July 3. It features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080 × 2340 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Storage can also be expanded through a microSD card.
On the rear, the Galaxy A27 has a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), alongside a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera. The main camera can record 4K video at 30fps. A 12MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.
The phone runs Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8.5 and is promised up to six major Android OS updates, making long-term software support one of its key selling points.
The Galaxy A27 packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. Samsung has also equipped the phone with stereo speakers, NFC in selected markets, USB Type-C connectivity and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The device has an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes and comes in Black, Blue, Light Green and Light Pink.
Price
The Galaxy A27 starts at around €231 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage model, while the 8GB/256GB version is listed at around €285, depending on the market.
With its AMOLED display, OIS-equipped camera, 5G connectivity and six years of major Android updates, the Galaxy A27 is positioned as a strong option for users looking for a reliable mid-range Samsung smartphone.
