Odogwu Asaba’s Wife Says Husband Had Affair With 20-Year-Old, Denies Rape Allegation

The wife of Delta State content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu of Asaba, has defended her husband against allegations that he raped 20-year-old Favour Agbro.

In a video posted on Wednesday, his wife claimed that her husband had an affair with Favour but denied that he raped or killed her. She said she would continue to support her husband despite the allegations.

Ogbonna, 40, was arrested by the Delta State Police Command following allegations that he invited Favour to Asaba under the pretext of teaching her how to make money through content creation. Police alleged that he later took her to a hotel, where she was allegedly raped and physically assaulted.

Favour reportedly returned home distressed and told her parents about the incident. She later made a video describing her experience before ingesting a toxic substance. She subsequently died while receiving treatment.

Ogbonna’s wife said people should not rely solely on social media discussions to judge the case, stressing that the matter should be handled through the legal process.

She also said she had been married to Ogbonna for eight years and that they have four children.

The police have said investigations are ongoing and that Ogbonna would be charged to court. However, he has not been convicted of any offence, and the rape allegation remains under investigation.
