Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has called on people across the North-West to support President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re-election in the 2027 presidential election.
Sani made the call on Saturday through his Special Adviser on Politics, Abubakar Muhammad Mamadi, at the inauguration of coordinators and members of the “Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” support group for the seven North-West states in Kaduna.
The governor said the North-West had benefited considerably from the Tinubu administration, particularly in agriculture, education, youth empowerment and women’s development.
Representing the governor, Mamadi said no region had benefited from the Tinubu administration as much as the North, especially the seven states in the North-West.
He urged members of the support group to take the Federal Government’s achievements to the grassroots and mobilise voters across Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa, Sokoto and Zamfara states ahead of the 2027 election.
The group’s convener, Mike Auta, also urged members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and reach communities beyond major cities to secure victory for President Tinubu.
The women’s leader of the group, Karima Abdullai, said millions of women had benefited from cash assistance and empowerment programmes introduced by the Tinubu administration.
She encouraged women in the region to support Tinubu’s re-election, expressing confidence that more women would benefit if he secured a second term.
Also speaking, the Director of Town Hall Engagement and Special Duties, Farida Ahmed Bala, appealed to Nigerians to remain patient with the administration, describing the current period as one of rebuilding and restructuring.
She compared the process to renovating a neglected house, saying that rebuilding a nation was not easy and that patience would eventually lead to progress and prosperity.
The organisers said the Kaduna inauguration marked the beginning of a wider grassroots mobilisation campaign across the North-West aimed at securing support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
