Israeli Attacks Across Gaza Kill Two, Damage Hospital Medical Warehouse

Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip have killed at least two people and wounded several others, including three people injured in a strike on a medical supply warehouse inside the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital compound in Deir el-Balah.

The Israeli drone strike targeted a tent being used to store medical supplies at the hospital on Saturday, according to the hospital’s director.

The Israeli military confirmed that it carried out a strike inside the hospital compound, claiming that a Hamas commander was among the targets, although it did not provide evidence to support the claim.

Elsewhere, an Israeli drone struck a motorcycle in Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood, killing at least one person and injuring two others, according to the Palestinian Wafa news agency. The injured were taken to al-Quds Field Hospital.

Earlier, Israeli gunfire killed one person in al-Musaddar village, east of Deir el-Balah.

Hospital officials also said an Israeli quadcopter dropped an explosive device near Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said it had received the bodies of 10 people over the past 48 hours, including nine people recently killed and one person whose body was recovered from under the rubble. It also reported 18 wounded.

The ministry said several other victims remained trapped under destroyed buildings or on roads that ambulances and civil defence teams could not reach.

According to the ministry, 1,313 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect in October last year.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Centre for Missing and Forcibly Disappeared Persons estimates that between 4,000 and 5,000 Palestinians remain missing and are believed to be buried under rubble in Gaza.

The centre also estimated that between 2,500 and 3,000 Palestinians may have been subjected to enforced disappearance during Israel’s war in Gaza.

Since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October 2023, more than 73,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed and more than 174,000 injured, according to Gaza health authorities.
