Yemen’s internationally recognised government has accused Houthi forces of launching a fresh wave of ballistic missile attacks on the Red Sea port city of al-Makha, also known as Mocha, as well as residential areas in the central city of Marib.
Yemeni authorities said the attacks took place on Monday but did not immediately report whether they caused casualties or significant damage.
The latest strikes came just one day after Houthi missile and drone attacks on al-Makha killed at least seven people and wounded 30 others.
Al-Makha, a strategic port city on Yemen’s Red Sea coast, has repeatedly come under attack amid the country’s prolonged conflict.
The renewed attacks have further raised concerns over escalating violence in Yemen and the wider security situation around the Red Sea.
