Houthis Claim Missile Attacks on Saudi Oil Tankers in Red Sea and Gulf of Aden

Yemen's Houthi movement says it launched missile attacks targeting two Saudi oil tankers—one near the Red Sea port of Yanbu and another in the Gulf of Aden.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed responsibility for the attacks but did not specify when they occurred. Saudi authorities have not confirmed the incidents or reported any damage.

The claimed attacks come amid rising tensions in the region. Since last month, the Houthis have declared a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea, saying it is a response to what they describe as a Saudi-imposed siege on Yemen. Saudi Arabia has rejected those accusations.

The developments add to growing concerns over maritime security in one of the world's busiest shipping routes as regional tensions continue to escalate.
