FBI Returns Two Nigerian Nationals to U.S. to Face Sextortion Charges

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has brought two Nigerian nationals accused of targeting minors in sextortion schemes back to the United States to face justice.

Adebola Festus Adekunle and Mudasiru Afeez Olawale were arrested in Nigeria in 2023 and have now been returned to U.S. soil after spending nearly three years overseas.

The two men face several charges, including sexual exploitation of minors, coercion and enticement, extortion, and the alleged production and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

According to U.S. authorities, one of the alleged sextortion schemes was connected to the death of a child.

Adekunle and Olawale are expected to appear before U.S. authorities to face the charges against them.
