APC Sweeps Ebonyi Council Poll, Wins All 13 LGAs and 171 Wards

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has secured a landslide victory in the Ebonyi State local government elections, winning all 13 local government areas and 171 wards contested.

The Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC) announced the results on Sunday, with its chairman, Enyi Patrick, declaring the APC the winner across the state.

Patrick said the election was conducted peacefully, with significant voter participation recorded across the state’s 13 local government areas.

Governor Francis Nwifuru, who cast his ballot at Edupfu Okemini Polling Unit 002 in Oferekpe Agbaja, Izzi Local Government Area, commended EBSIEC for what he described as the orderly and smooth conduct of the exercise.

Political stakeholders and other key figures in the state also praised the peaceful atmosphere and voter turnout recorded during the election.
