Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday met with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, in Abuja as he continued consultations with key political figures following his victory in the August 15 governorship election.
Adeleke, who was re-elected for a second term, was pictured with Wike during the meeting. Both men were seen holding Adeleke’s Certificate of Return.
The photograph was shared on X by Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, with the caption: “Governor Ademola Adeleke visits the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.”
The meeting came shortly after Adeleke visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he also presented his Certificate of Return.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner of the election after he secured 511,067 votes, defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who received 444,815 votes.
Adeleke won in 19 of Osun State’s 30 local government areas.
