13 Killed as Tourist Plane Crashes Over Peru's Nazca Lines

At least 13 people have died after a small tourist aircraft crashed on Saturday while flying over the world-famous Nazca Lines archaeological site in southern Peru.

According to Peru's state television channel TVPeru, the aircraft was carrying 11 passengers and two pilots when the crash occurred. All 13 people on board were killed.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the identities or nationalities of the victims, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The Nazca Lines, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are among Peru's most popular tourist attractions, attracting thousands of visitors each year for sightseeing flights over the ancient geoglyphs.

Emergency responders were deployed to the crash site, while aviation officials have launched an investigation to determine what led to the tragic accident.
