Wildfires Rage Across Scotland, Spain and Canada Amid Intensifying Heat.

Wildfires continue to spread across parts of Europe and North America as firefighters battle major blazes in Scotland, Spain, France and Canada, with experts warning that rising temperatures linked to climate change are worsening fire conditions.

In Scotland, emergency crews are battling two significant wildfires, including one in the Glenmore area of Cairngorms National Park that has been burning for several days. Another grassfire broke out at Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, prompting authorities to maintain a very high wildfire risk warning until July 24.

Spain is facing its largest wildfire of the year in Guadalajara province, where flames have consumed more than 26,000 hectares of land. Over 1,000 residents have been evacuated as soaring temperatures and dry conditions fuel the fire. Weather officials have warned that a new heatwave could push temperatures above 40°C, increasing the risk of additional wildfires across the country.

In France, firefighters are also battling a fast-moving wildfire near the Mediterranean coast, forcing the suspension of train services in affected areas as extreme heat and drought continue to worsen conditions.

Canada remains under pressure with nearly 190 active wildfires burning across Ontario. About 1,800 people have been evacuated from remote communities, while smoke from the fires recently caused hazardous air quality across parts of Canada and the United States, including Toronto, New York and Washington.

The wildfire crisis has also sparked political tensions after U.S. President Donald Trump urged Canada to improve its wildfire response. Ontario Premier Doug Ford criticized the remarks, saying greater international cooperation would be more helpful than criticism.

Climate experts say hotter temperatures, prolonged drought and dry forests are making wildfires more frequent and destructive. Environmental specialists have also warned that smoke from the fires contains harmful pollutants that pose serious health risks and contribute to global warming.

Authorities across the affected regions continue to urge residents to follow evacuation orders and remain alert as firefighters work to contain the blazes.
