The United States military has announced the completion of its latest round of airstrikes on Iran, marking the 11th consecutive night of military operations.
According to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the strikes lasted approximately 75 minutes and targeted Iranian military operations centers, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities, maritime capabilities, and logistics infrastructure. The U.S. said the attacks were aimed at reducing Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Washington also accused Iran of attacking more than 30 commercial vessels transiting the strategic waterway over the past three months.
The conflict, which began on February 28 after U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, has escalated into a prolonged regional war. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military bases.
The ongoing war has resulted in thousands of deaths and millions of displaced civilians across the region. Iranian health officials said the latest U.S. strikes killed at least 50 civilians and injured around 500 others.
The Pentagon also confirmed that the number of U.S. military personnel killed in the conflict has risen to 18 in recent days.
Earlier this week, U.S. President Donald Trump vowed retaliation against Iran following deadly attacks on American troops and warned that future operations could expand to include Iran's energy infrastructure and bridges.
International legal experts have warned that attacks on civilian infrastructure could violate the 1949 Geneva Conventions and may constitute war crimes under international law.
The conflict continues to raise concerns about regional stability, maritime security, and the humanitarian impact across the Middle East.
