US and Iran Exchange Fresh Attacks as Conflict Enters Seventh Consecutive Night

The conflict between the United States and Iran intensified for a seventh consecutive night as both sides exchanged attacks, raising fears of a wider regional escalation.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it carried out another round of coordinated strikes using fighter jets, drones, and warships. The attacks reportedly targeted Iranian surveillance sites, military logistics facilities, underground weapons storage areas, and maritime capabilities.

Iranian media reported that several southern cities, including Bandar Abbas, Jask, Bushehr, Sirik, Lar, Ahvaz, Yazd, and Qeshm Island, were hit during the overnight operations. Reports also indicated explosions in Khorramabad, while infrastructure, including bridges near Bandar Abbas, suffered significant damage. Iranian sources said civilians were killed and injured, although the exact casualty figures have not been independently verified.

Meanwhile, Jordan's military said it intercepted 10 Iranian missiles that entered its airspace early Saturday, with no casualties or damage reported. Kuwait also confirmed that its armed forces responded to a second wave of Iranian missile and drone attacks within hours.

Authorities in Bahrain activated air raid sirens multiple times overnight, urging residents to seek immediate shelter as regional tensions continued to rise.

Security concerns have also affected global shipping. According to maritime tracking data, traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has fallen sharply, reaching its lowest level in three weeks as shipping companies remain cautious over the ongoing conflict.

Analysts have warned that any move by Iran or its allies, including Yemen's Houthi movement, to disrupt shipping through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait would mark a major escalation and could severely impact global energy supplies and international trade.

The conflict continues to heighten instability across the Middle East, with concerns growing over its potential impact on regional security and the global economy.
