At least eight people have been killed and dozens injured following a series of Ukrainian drone attacks on western Russia, according to Russian authorities.
Officials in Russia's Tambov region said seven workers died after drones struck a Wildberries logistics warehouse in Kotovsk during the night shift. Twenty-five others were injured, with several reported to be in critical condition.
In a separate attack, another Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal, Moscow region, was hit, leaving one person dead and 37 others injured. Authorities also reported a drone strike on an oil depot in Noginsk, where two people sustained injuries.
Russian officials said air defence systems intercepted dozens of drones, preventing what they described as even greater civilian casualties.
Ukraine confirmed carrying out the strikes, stating that the targeted warehouses were being used to store sanctioned components for the production of drones and navigation equipment supporting Russia's military operations. Kyiv also said its forces struck additional military-related targets in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
Meanwhile, Russian forces launched fresh attacks on Ukraine's southern port city of Odesa, where regional officials said one person was killed, three others were wounded, and port infrastructure suffered significant damage.
The latest exchange of attacks comes as fighting between Russia and Ukraine continues to intensify, with both sides targeting strategic infrastructure as the conflict enters its fifth year.
