The United Kingdom's High Court is expected to deliver its judgment on Tuesday in a high-profile privacy lawsuit filed by Prince Harry and several other prominent figures against Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday.
Prince Harry, alongside music legend Elton John and five other claimants, alleges that the newspaper publisher used unlawful methods to obtain private information over a period spanning from the early 1990s to the 2010s.
During the trial in January, the Duke of Sussex told the court that the newspaper's actions made life for his wife, Meghan Markle, "an absolute misery." The publishers have strongly denied the allegations, insisting that the reports in question were based on lawful sources, including friends, royal aides and publicists.
The case carries significant financial implications, with legal costs expected to run into tens of millions of pounds. If the claimants succeed, they could also receive substantial compensation, while the losing party would likely be ordered to cover the trial costs.
This marks Prince Harry's third major legal battle against the British press. He previously reached a settlement with newspapers owned by Rupert Murdoch in 2025 and also won a separate case against Mirror Group Newspapers over unlawful information gathering, including phone hacking.
The High Court is scheduled to deliver its ruling at 1:00 p.m. GMT.
